Why we do it.

A happy hour you drive across town for has to be real tonight. This guide exists to make sure it is.

A list is only useful if it is right: Deals change and windows move without anyone announcing it. Every row here names its days, its window and where we found it, and anything we cannot re-verify inside 60 days comes off rather than being left to rot.
A closed bar is a wasted night: Every venue is checked to still be open: its own website each week, its listing, and local news. When a place closes, it leaves the guide.
You should be able to walk in: Only places that serve the public are listed. Private clubs, lodges, country clubs, retirement communities and offices can run a happy hour for their members, and none of them is here, because a reader who turned up would be turned away.
Nobody pays to be here: We do not accept payment for placement and we never have. Features go to independents with an exact price, an exact window and a real photograph of the place.
